It was another less than stellar week for Our Caos and Anna and I break it all down for you...

The recent tension amongst all Caps fans has boiled over and has thusly moved your host to preach....to the choir. Agree or not. Enjoy or don't. Either way you might learn something.

The fight against cancer still goes on. Please donate to Our Captain's charity:

Also we give a shout to a (not nearly complete) list of veterans of our armed forces who have been loyal listeners. On Nov. 11th please sound off with name and branch on our Facebook page!

Welcome back, Caps fans!

We raise the curtain once more for another Caps season here at the PPP. Helping things along for this opener are two of our star co hosts from last season---C4 herself Cheryl Anne Forster and Jini Clausen. Anna will be joining us in November.

Before we get into things in full we announce a new element for this year--a development partner! Empowering Education is 501c nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching financial literacy along with life lessons that is looking to take root in the DMV. Contact Audie Wood for more information. We look forward to working together to help promote financial education to everyone.

Next, we go into a full out talk about what to expect from Our Caps this upcoming season. C4 and Jini go on to provide a masterclass in relating their own takes and how to have an intelligent passionate and fun discussion without being disrespectful. Caps fans always do it right.

Finally we get into the one game that has been played so far....and how it could have gone better. We close with upcoming games and a quick summation of possible playoff seedings for the Metropolitan division.

Don't forget to get your raffle tickets for a chance at Club level seats for the Oct. 21 game at CapitalOne Arena vs the Seattle Kraken:

As unfortunately the Caps could not get past the Carolina Hurricanes, so another season of coverage comes to an end. Jini Clausen joins us again for this last regular episode of this season.

We begin by recapping the final 2 games of the series and talk about what went wrong. Next, the Mermaid offers up a.......unique evaluation for some of the best and not so best Caps performances this year.

We end with the year's final thoughts for this grand 50th Washington Capitals season which includes one last Young Blueliner's story. This one revisits the 1987 Easter Epic and its aftermath. Stick around after the outro to listen to Cheryl Anne Forster's (C4) final thoughts on the season.

It has been a pleasure serving you the Caps fan community for this glorious season. Thanks so much for listening and we will see you in September!

WARNING---THIS EPISODE IS NOT EDITED FOR STRONG LANGUAGE!

As you read above, yes I have let loose the lewd language! Listen at your own risk!!!!

Anna and I evaluate the first 3 games of the Caps series in Round 2 against the Carolina Hurricanes.  Yes we're pissed. Yes we're bummed. No we will make no effort to hide it it during this episode. But we do try to put our own unique perspective on it all.

May the Fourth Be With You!!!!

In this Star Wars-themed episode, Anna and I go over the final 2 games of the Caps' first round series against the Montreal Canadiens. We also give a brief, non-specific preview of their next round series against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Sorry we're not being more specific, but, muchlike Coach Carbery we're keeping things close to the vest....much like Han Solo who may or may not have fired first.....

Happy Playoffs!

Anna and I recap Games 1-3 of the Caps first round. Yes every gory detail...the good and the bad. And while there was quite a bit of good there was also some bad. Bad that may prove to be quite the obstacle. BUT...we remain optomistic while reminding a certain team that, in professional ice hockey, there are 60 minutes in a full game!
