The year is coming to the end and Zach & Jay reflect and look back on their goals and accomplishments for the year. They go on to talk about how the month of February changed their year drastically
by committing to a mental toughness program called 75 HARD. They go through the steps they had to do to complete the program for 75 days straight, no breaks or off days. They reminisce the hardships and fun times they experienced in the program and even going as far to say that it was like a governor being taken off in their life. It was a wake up call for both to see how much they were leaving on the table. They go off to explain how they are now changed from it in every best way and how the goals have gotten only bigger and the hustle has doubled.
75 H A R D Challenge Rules
1. Follow a diet. Zero cheat meals for the entire 75 days.
2. Workout 2x a day for at least 45 min (one of the workouts has to be outdoors... No matter what.)
3. Drink a gallon a water per day.
4. Read 10 pages of a non-fiction entrepreneurship / personal development book per day.
5. Take a progress pic every single day.
Zach & Jay talk about some of the things that hold them back and how they turned those anchors intro propellers instead of letting those very things weigh them down like they do to most. Find out what some of the most common anchors are for them and most people, and how they turned them into benefits to help them instead of holding them down like they are suppose to.
No better way to kick off the new podcast name by living up to its new name. Zach & Jay have a PowerSesh and explain in further detail why the name change, the future of the podcast, and ideas in the works to make the content even better for you, the listener. They talk about how they come up with the ideas and becoming resourceful in order to pull them off on a stretched budget.
Zach& Jay both talk about how they struggled with starting the podcast due to needing to have everything be perfect and be perfect timing. They discuss how they still struggle with this issue and how it has caused them to be paralyzed and not move forward at times for a while with other things as well. As they explain other people they knew having this issue, that was how they first noticed they were doing the same thing. Although they still do at times struggle with this, they have found ways to combat this “perfect timing” mentality, get going and figure it out along the way. Find out some of their strategies/tactics they use that may also help you if your struggle with the perfect mentality as well.
In this week's episode, Jay brings up the fact on how he struggled in the beginning with the posting content online and receiving hate comments and trolls. Zach & Jay then dissect the topic of "hate" and what it really is and how it's actually a great indicator in your life. They further go deep into the rabbit hole and discuss ways to combat that fear that many others face of doing something out of their comfort zone and failing in front of others or starting something new and break down what “hate” really is and why it shouldn't stop you from doing what you want but propel you by using it the right way.
