The Trinity is a firmly established doctrine of Christianity, but many people see the triune nature of God as a doctrine that while important does not significantly impact the world or how they understand it. We want to argue against that. The fact that God is one and yet three is fundamental to understanding His nature and so it should come as no surprise that the Trinity is manifested throughout creation. It is an important point of doctrine that in all existence, the  Trinity is unique and so we cannot explain the Trinity by examining created things. But the opposite of that is not true, as it says in Romans 1:20, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.” And while this does not mean that natural man can correctly understand the three persons of the Godhead or their eternal relationships, these properties and relationships of the Godhead shape the world and help those who truly know Him to better understand it. The Trinity is an important doctrine, and all doctrine is useful for equipping the people of God so that we might better serve and worship him.
