Practical Heroes

Enjoy some more sick Mitch as the last of the rona begins to leave his system and he Gandalf's his way through running more sessions in a city he has no memory of the last 4 hours of! In this non-stop crazy thrill ride through Mor Dothak, the three chums continue their way to The Welcoming Dragon, and we learn a little more about Meri, where Halflings come from (this is absolutely not canon Erroth lore), and a little TOO much about Yuri, before meeting a face from Yuri's past, alongside a glimpse of a face from the party's present...

Chapter 2 continues to get underway, Mitch continues to get over COVID, and Meri, Yuri and Ethan continue to harass my market stall vendors... As the shopping continues, we meet Kem the Enchanter (well, technically his wife is, but he helps!), and Seth finally finishes walking to the Companions Guild in the meantime to introduce you, humble listeners, to Patty the Mor Dothak Den Mother!

Rejoin us once more in our tales from Mor Dothak! As Elion disembarks the minecart ride to reach the floating disks, what were Yuri Meri and Ethan up to? Well, with some audio issues somewhat sorted, it's time to finally return to the triple threat team and find out exactly how much mischief you can get up to, browsing the markets of Mor Dothak Proper...

As COVID keeps its hold over our vigilant DM, will he make it through another episode without succumbing? (Spoilers, the rona REALLY tries to stop him DMing). In the meantime, the party make plans to split and regroup, and we follow Gunnark (as Elion) and Seth as they make their way to follow their respective plans...

Join our adventurers once more as Mitch gets over the tail end of a COVID infection, and we are finally introduced to the interior of the enormous mountain fortress/city - Mor Dothak. As the minecart rolls to a stop, the party are introduced to a rather lovely Dwarf Guard, and the usual conversational hijinks ensue...

With Ethan promising Yuri that he'd never leave him abandoned, we join them now for the second half of the conversation, find out what Meri was doing whilst the boys were busy, and depart Ripstein for the last leg of the journey to Mor Dothak. Along the way, however, an interesting encounter with some Snowscavengers from Dr'ag'izzt ensues...

Having narrowly avoided the polar worm, our heroes set off from their camp, and continue their journey to Mor Dothak, with Meri's excellent navigation skills drawing them ever closer without issue, and allowing them a brief respite in the town of Ripstein! (Also Ethan does that thing where you spend all your money on something in the first place you go and have no money for the rest of the holiday - so be prepared for Joshua to get super jealous in like 2-4 episodes time)

We return to the road once more, as our party continue their journey towards Mor Dothak, and eventually, Promethea. As the day begins to wind down, so too, do the gang. Kuijo learns some new skills, Fuiro demonstrates some existing ones, and Gunnark pulls a very risky prank...

Our band of misfits take to the road once more, with the whole gang back together, and Yuri starts to question the two newbies in an attempt to learn more about them, and maybe see what they know about the Gods...We also find out why Meri is encumbered, and playtest the use of an interesting approach to travel from The Dungeon Coach!

With downtime coming to an end and an invitation received from two mysterious people to meet at the Dragon's Blood Inn in Dragon's End, our misfits finally reunite (sans Seth) to prank Gunnark (of course) and learn what these strangers actually want - and whether it'll be worth the party's while...
