In our ninth shiur Rav Burg discusses: 1. Why does praise have an impact on a child? 2. The value of setting clear goals for our children. 3. What can we do when praise is not working as a motivational tool? 4. How to praise our children (ie. specificity, immediately, authentically, incrementally etc...) 5. What are the benefits of praise?

  2. What is the potential danger of harping on our children's negative behaviors?
  3. What is the value in setting clear goals for our children? How does that impact the praise we give them?
  4. How do we know when to stop praising a particular behavior?
  5. What are some of the things we can do when a child is being disobedient even in the face of praise?
  6. What is the value in praising the specific actions of the child?
  7. What is the value in immediately praising the child?
  8. How should praise be delivered?
