Paul gets into the "nuts and bolts" of Christian living.

Paul applies the knowledge of salvation by grace through faith.

Paul builds the understanding of the Gospel by ensuring we know how we enter the Kingdom; by grace through faith.

The good news portion of the book really begins as our hope is properly built upon Christ.

Weird break in this passage, but we have to stop somewhere.  Paul finishes the foundational bad news and begins the turn to the Good News of Christ.

Paul begins to answer objections to his letter and explain the reality of living in Christ.

Paul continues answering objections by ensuring the believers have no pride in themselves and our foundation is rightly built upon God alone.

Chapter 2 begins to answer questions about the realities laid out in chapter 1.  How do we deal with hypocrisy?  How do we integrate ourselves into the world?  When do we walk away?
