Practice rounds start today at Oakmont for this week's US Open. 200-thousand people are expected to attend and that means planning ahead if you're going. To reduce traffic, the USGA is encouraging fans to park at Hartwood Acres or Monroeville Mall and ride shuttle buses to and from the golf course. Former Oakmont Pro Bob Ford gave the organizers high praise on the Big K Morning Show.
More than 130 shuttles are running continuously from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. There will be no parking in either Oakmont or Plum. Only residents with approved parking tags are allowed to do that and violators will be towed.
