Episode 2:
Prada or Pre-School
In this episode of the Style Like a Mother podcast, I'm discussing my big Prada dilemma. I’m taking you on an unexpected journey that started with a Coach bag and ended with a $3,450 Prada bag that has me questioning everything—my style, my identity, and going deep on the relationship between money and style for mothers.
Where do we draw the line between spending on ourselves and spending on our kids?
I’ve been obsessed with this Prada bag. Like, visiting-it-multiple-times-at-the-store obsessed. But buying it isn’t just about swiping my card—it’s about facing the crossroads between the old me (the girl who buys designer without a second thought) and the new me (the mom who’s thinking about preschool, swim lessons, and all the other expenses that come with having a kid).

The Prada Moment: I wasn’t even planning to go into Prada, but something pulled me in. And then I saw her. The buttery brown bag that felt like the new mom version of me in bag form. But at $3,450, I had to take a beat.
"I realized I don’t want a closet full of stuff, I want pieces that truly mean something to me."
"Where do we draw the line between ditching who we once were and stepping into the new version of ourselves as moms?"
"Can I trust God to provide for me, even if I spend $3,450 on a bag? Can I let go of the judgment that comes with it?"
