A lot of people who educate about "content creation" talk about the benefits of niching down...and I think it probably is a great strategy. However, right now, I'm feeling compelled to niche *out* and share a more holistic type of creativity. Also-- I think the Moth and Rust blog and brand might be ready for a (slight!) refresh...today I'm chatting about where my mind is right now, so I hope you'll hang out with me for a bit!
I also mention the Fibershed 7 day slow fashion challenge; you can sign up for that by visiting

Will this be the beginning of a more consistent show?! (Golly, I sure hope so...!) In this episode, I muse a bit about wanting to cultivate a more "visible" community, share a few resources from my blog that will hopefully be helpful to handmade folks (shoppers & sellers alike), and share a couple book recommendations...

Did you know that a lush, green lawn could actually be harming the ecosystem? Today, I'm talking about why you might want to think about planting native plants! I also have some recommendations for craft- and nature- related podcasts that I think you'll really enjoy, and I'll share some of the autumn inspired prints I recently released.

I've been out of the loop, but I feel myself slowly easing back in!! There are so many great things going on right now...or maybe I'm just now noticing?! Whatever the case, I'm excited about it. Today I chat about inspiring Wichita makers, recant on Li Ziqi, and give a quick garden update. Also, the fundraiser I mentioned last episode has finally launched! Total net proceeds will be donated to ICTSOS, a Wichita-based organization helping to fight human trafficking. Listen to learn more!
