We can start today to change our focus. Take an honest look at yourself and push away the things that are taking time away from the Lord, or have become too important and not pleasing to Him. You are loved.

Lord, we pray that through our weaknesses we realize just how amazing your love is for us, and as we lean into that, fuel us to be more empathetic with others.

Today, it's so complicated. The default places have changed - It's like you have to find the secret door. Can you relate with us on this?

She is amazing! Both my kids are nerodivergent and have had her as their Kindergarten teacher. She is the most patient, kind and resourceful teacher I know. She goes out of her way to adapt her lessons and schedule to help her students learn in the ways they are able. She is always doing extra training, learning new strategies and is so creative in the ways she aproches any challenges her students have. It was hard to send my kids to school as they have many challenges that most teachers would find hard to manage but having Lesley as their teacher and seeing how much she respects, cares and advocates for her students and their needs is inspiring. I wish all teachers could have her drive and passion for education. It is especially evident in the little things she does, with my son she made sure to let me know if he needed a day off and gave me advance notice of all the fun stuff they were doing so he could have something to look forward to. My daughter loves unicorns and Ms. Thornton has stickers or colouring books with them specifically for her to use when she is having trouble transitioning or is anxious. In my opinion she deserves a platinum star because of how she goes above and beyond to make learning possible and fun for students of all abilities.
