Congress leader Rahul Gandhi announced in a press conference that the Caste census is an X-ray of poverty. he also insisted that without it inclusive development is not possible.

Bihar Government in India released the caste survey data which revealed that other backward classes and extremely Backward Classes (EBC) constituted more than 63% of Bihar's Population. Opposition Parties asked the government to conduct a nationwide cast survey which would help to devise further policies and plan for the development of all classes.
