Luke 18:1-8
Any parent knows what it's like to be worn down by a child's repeated requests and refusal to take no for an answer. They just keep coming back until finally we give in and give them what they are asking for. When it comes to prayer it is easy to think God's not listening and be tempted to lose heart and stop asking. In the parable of the persistent widow, Jesus calls God's children to pray and not lose heart, crying out to God continually, who hears and responds with justice for his people.
