"The Dream You Gave Up On, God Didn't Give Up On..."

Genesis 30:22-24

New Living Translation

22 Then God remembered Rachel’s plight and answered her prayers by enabling her to have children. 23 She became pregnant and gave birth to a son. “God has removed my disgrace,” she said. 24 And she named him Joseph, for she said, “May the Lord add yet another son to my family.”

Our God is so loving, so faithful so merciful, when we become too discouraged to believe. God does not forget what He promised. Maybe you feel discouraged today. Maybe your life hasn't turned out the way you had hoped. Maybe you prayed, believed, and worked hard, and it didn't work out.

Remember today, not only does God remember you, but He remembers the promise He placed within you. He knows what He's destined you to do. You may have already said, “Forget it, it's never going to happen.” The good news is that you don't have the final say. God has the final say, and He says, “What I started in your life, I'm going to finish.”

That dream you gave up on, God didn't give up on. He remembers you, and He is with you, leading you and guiding you to the place of victory.

"The Right Path Follow It..."

Isaiah 30:20-21

Even though the Lord may allow you to go through a season of hardship and difficulty, he himself will be there with you. He will not hide himself from you, for your eyes will constantly see him as your Teacher. [21] When you turn to the right or turn to the left, you will hear his voice behind you to guide you, saying, "This is the right path; follow it."

God has put a promise inside each and every one of us. Oftentimes we have to go through the wilderness before we reach our promised land. Oftentimes, like Joseph, we feel as though we are in a pit long before we ever see the palace. Maybe you're in a season right now where you don't see anything happening. You think, We've been praying and believing for a year, five years, ten years. It's not happening.

No, be encouraged today. Stay the course. Keep believing. You may be tired, discouraged, and tempted to be frustrated, but don't give up on your future. Stay on the high road. Our God is a faithful God. It may be taking a long time, but what He started He will finish in your life. Scripture says the eyes of the Lord search to and fro to find someone who will be faithful on His behalf. Be the person He finds faithful. Keep believing, keep praying, keep obeying, and stay the course because He is leading you in the path of victory!

I’m writing to encourage you to fan into a flame and rekindle the fire of the spiritual gift God imparted to you when I laid my hands upon you.

Have you ever wanted to do something really great? Maybe you had a big dream; maybe you believed you could start a business. Maybe you wanted to lose some weight or go back to school. Now, it's been so long. You tried and it didn't work out.

Today is the day to get your fire back. Today is the day to get a new perspective. The Creator of the universe has already set the completion date for the dream He's placed in your heart. And just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean that it's not going to happen. God has already lined up the right people, the right breaks, the right answers. Everything you need is already in your future.

Now you have to shake off the doubt; shake off the discouragement. Whether it's been a year, five years, or fifty years, whatever God promised you, He still has every intention of bringing it to pass. Keep standing, keep believing, keep hoping, and keep moving forward. Get your fire back and let Him fulfill every dream He has placed in your heart!

“Now you can understand what I meant when I said that the first will end up last and the last will end up being first. Everyone is invited, but few are the chosen.”

Before we are promoted in life, before we can he moved ahead, we have to be prepared. Sometimes it's a physical preparation, but we all go through seasons of preparation.

Too often, people miss their appointed time simply because they are not ready. They haven't prepared. They look around at others and Think. If you'll get ready, if you'll outgrow where you are, God will make room for something greater. Don't worry about who's in line in front of you. You just keep growing, learning, and getting prepared, and the right doors will open. God may be about to thrust you right past them into a whole new level. You just be faithful to develop what God has placed in you, and He will take you further than you can ever imagine!

Chaos once challenged you. The raging waves lifted themselves over and over, high above the ocean’s depths, letting out their mighty roar! Yet at the sound of your voice they were all stilled by your might. What a majestic King, filled with power!

Sometimes in life, you have to play in pain. In other words, you have to keep going even when you don’t feel like it. You have to keep pressing forward even when its not easy. God sees your effort. It's one thing to do the right thing and make good when everything is going your way. When times are tough and nothing is going, Sidelines nursing your wound, instead, you're still going your way, when you're hurting You're still getting to work on time. You're still being good to someone; you're still expecting God to turn it around—that gets God's attention in a new way.

We believe God has a greater reward for people who are faithful in the tough times. If that's you today, know that God has His hand on you. He's walking with you through the valley. He is preparing streams in the desert. He's leading and guiding you in paths of righteousness for His Name's sake. Keep praising, Keep  believing. Keep moving forward, knowing that God is with you, and His comfort will guide you to the place of blessing.

"God Has the Final Say ...."

Philippians 1:6

6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion Until the day of Christ.

God will always finish what He started. The moment God placed a dream in your heart, the moment that promise took root, God not only started something in your life but He also set a completion date.

Scripture tells us that God is called the Author and the Finisher of our life and it wouldn't have come alive, if God didn't already have a plan to faith. God wouldn't have given you the dream, and the promise bring it to pass. It doesn't matter how long it's been or how impossible it looks. Your mind may tell you that it's too late. You've missed too many opportunities. It's never going to happen. No, God is saying,

"It's not over. I have the final say. I've already set the completion date." So if you will stay in faith and not talk yourself out of it, it will just be a matter of time before it comes to pass!

"You Have Treasure on the Inside…"

Colossians 1:10

10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God.

Too many people suffer from "destination disease." In other words, they've reached a certain level or obtained a goal, and now they're coasting in life off of what they've already learned. Studies tell us that 50 percent of people, after they graduate from high school, will never read an entire book the rest of their life. One reason is that people see learning as a period of life instead of a way of life. But God never created us to reach one level and stop. Whether you're ninety years old or nine years old, you should be constantly learning, improving your skills, and getting better at what you do.

The key is that you have to take responsibility for your growth. Growth is not automatic. What steps are you taking to get better? Are you reading books? Listening to teaching CDs? Are you taking any courses on the Internet? Going to any seminars? Do you have any mentors? Don't just coast through life relying on what you've already learned. You have treasure on the inside. Develop your talent and become all that God created you to be.

"Your Gifts Will Make Room for You…"

Proverbs 18:16

16 A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great.

When people hear the story of David and Goliath, sometimes they think, that was all God. And yes, in a sense, it was all God; but God didn't sling the stone. David had a role to play, too. God gave David the skill that he had to develop in order to be prepared for that defining moment.

Like David, God has put skills inside of you so that you can slay the giants in your life. You have the skills that can open new doors, skills that can lead to an abundant life, but the key is that the skills have to be developed. Every day that you spend growing, learning, and improving, you're getting prepared for that new level.

Today, while you're waiting for that new opportunity, start sharpening your skills. When God sees that you are prepared, He can open new doors. The Scripture says, “Your gifts will make room for you." Keep developing your skills because there is a giant slayer in you!

"It's Time to Get Out of the Pit..."

Genesis 39:2-5

New International Version

2 The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. 3 When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, 4 Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.5 From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of the Lord was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field.

In Scripture, many heroes of the faith started out at the very bottom. Think of Joseph. He was thrown in a pit and sold into slavery by his own brothers. But even as " he developed his skills. He was so valuable that he was put in charge of his master's whole household. When he was falsely accused and put into prison, he was so valuable there that they put him in charge of the whole prison. What is that? Cream rising to the top. When Pharaoh needed someone to run the country and administer the nationwide feeding program during the famine, he didn't choose a cabinet member; he didn't choose his department head. He chose Joseph, a prisoner, a slave. Why? Joseph developed his skills right where he was. His gifts made room for him, and he was always rising to the top.

There's never an excuse to not keep rising. It doesn't matter if you don't like your current job; it doesn't matter if other people don't treat you right. God is saying, “It's time to get out of the pit. It's time to shake off the past. It's time to rise to the top!”

"Keep Pressing In, Keep Believing and Keep Praying..."

Matthew 9:22

The Passion Translation

22 Just then Jesus turned around and looked at her and said, “My daughter, be encouraged. Your faith has healed you.” And instantly she was healed!

In Scripture, there was a lady who had been sick with a bleeding disorder for twelve years. She went to the best doctors, received the finest treatment, but her health continued to decline. One day, she got word that Jesus was coming through her town. When she heard that, something came alive on the inside. She had so much coming against her. But she didn't focus on that; she knew it was her time for healing. Instead of giving up, she fought her way through the crowds and touched the edge of Jesus' robe. When she did, immediately she was made whole.

How many other people were there like her in that same type of situation? They were sick. They were discouraged. They had trouble. But they just watched Jesus pass by. They let excuses keep them from their miracle.

Don't let that be you. Don't let your circumstances keep you from reaching out to Jesus. It doesn't matter what's happened in your past, just keep moving forward. God has destiny moments in store for you. Keep pressing in, keep believing, keep praying, and, like this woman, reach out to Him. Know that He is faithful, and He will meet your faith with His power.
