Our failures do not define us. Have hope for God can do great things in bad situations. God gives different gifts and abilities to each person. God calls you worthy regardless of what you’ve done. There’s nothing in your life that He can’t use for his glory. 

David went through the stages of grief when he learned that his son was going to die. He isolated himself in the temple, he bargained with God for his son’s life, and then later  David accepted the death of his son. God and His word are what helps get you out of your grieving. God loves you through your grieving and he takes your burden and gives you rest. 

Are you in the season of realizing your security was in material things? The lies of the enemy don’t matter - when he reminds you of your past, remind him of his future. The son went to Convince the father to take him back but there’s no point in earning YOUR way back to the father. 

Performance pressure is the idea that if we want to succeed we need to achieve a certain level in this lifetime. The artificial pressure to perform simply takes us away from our purpose of glorifying God. Do not study with the pressure that if you fall short, God is mad at you. God constantly uses the person who experienced pressure, trusted God in pressure, and moved forward with  the LORD. 

The words anxiety and fear are not the  same. Fear is part of God’s creation, which is why fear is not a bad thing, but it can become a bad thing. Battle against sin was one of the most pressing reasons for anxiety among faithful Christians. Another worry is about the future, especially during this political climate. There is only one way to handle anxiety: fix your vision - look above and look outside of us.

God in His eternal sacrifice has made provision for us to overcome these emotions. At the cross you can bring your shame, and there is estoration and healing for us there and He releases His glory on our life. The remedy for rejection is at the cross, Jesus paid the price for us.

Keep people in your life who can see through you and can be honest with you to help you in your times of need. Be present with people, get to know them past the superficial, and build real relationships and community. We should reflect Christ in our concern for the hurting.
