A poem I wrote for a women’s empowerment brunch that came from the heart. As I wrote this poem I asked God what truly empowers me and I came up with prayer because prayer is real and it worked for me. It’s not just a prayer it’s the fact that I believed.

Prayer is real

Life happens!!! When it does we must Acknowledge Address and Assess. Let’s talk about it, have you ever had so much determination and dedication in something( a job, relationship, skill set), not matter how much you pour into it, it just didn’t work out. Guess what!! Life happens and as it shift and shapes you grab hold of the lesson on the way, it can be bumpy as riding on gravel, or smooth like like whipped creme, fast like a lightning bolt or slow as a prison sentence. In each season take with you the lesson and blessing, it may come with pain but that too is a gain!!!!!!!!!!
