  • The 1859 Revival in Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales
I have studied revival history for 41 years. For its extent and scope, there is nothing like the revivals that happened between 1857 and 1859. What began as a quiet, lay-led prayer meeting on Fulton Street in Lower Manhattan quickly crossed the Atlantic, igniting an unprecedented transatlantic awakening that reshaped the spiritual landscape of the British Isles. Documented in the firsthand accounts of William Gibson (*The Year of Grace*), Rev. Adam Magill (*Authentic Records*), Thomas Phillips (*The Welsh Revival*), and the ministry of James Turner along the Scottish fishing ports, this movement bypassed famous evangelists and institutional power to sweep through drafty schoolhouses, coal mines, slate quarries, and harbor piers. Driven by ordinary working people and persistent prayer, it added over 300,000 converts across Ulster, Wales, and Scotland in a matter of months, emptying taverns, emptying jail cells, and offering a enduring testimony that no spiritual drought is too deep for a sudden, sovereign awakening.

Dave Jenkins explains God's holy opposition to sin, humanity's suppression of truth, and why every sinner needs salvation in Christ. This message calls listeners to humility and repentance while pointing to Jesus, who bore the judgment sinners deserve. • Salvation is of the Lord!
This sermon expounds on the doctrine that salvation is entirely the work of God, emphasizing that it is a gracious gift wrought in chosen sinners without human assistance. The message outlines six key characteristics of this divine work: it is God's salvation, it is eternal in nature, it is common to all believers, it is personal to each individual, it is of great magnitude, and it ultimately belongs to God. Scripture passages from Genesis, Hebrews, Jude, Philippians, and Revelation are cited to demonstrate that the Father planned, the Son purchased, and the Spirit applied this salvation. The tone is instructional and celebratory, urging believers to recognize their secure position in Christ and to direct all praise to the triune God who is the author and finisher of their redemption.

  • Cast Your Burden
The Psalm is attributed to David. A burden has been given to him. He appears distressed even betrayed. What will he do with this burden? The burden can be brought to the Lord, bourn by the Lord. We all have our own particular burdens to bear as we go through life. This is a promise for every child of God. Rather than taking the wings of a dove to fly away from the situation and crisis, bring it to the everlasting arms, Deuteronomy 33:25-27. God can sustain us. His grace and power are all-sufficient, 2 Corinthians 12:9.

  • Not Condemned!
The sermon centers on the assurance that believers in Christ are free from condemnation due to the perfect atoning work of Jesus. It highlights John 3:17-19, emphasizing that God sent His Son not to condemn the world but to save it, and that those who believe are not condemned. The message contrasts the natural state of humanity, which loves darkness and sin, with the transformed life of the believer who is washed clean by Christ's blood. By connecting this truth with Romans 8:1, the teaching affirms that there is no judgment for those in Christ, offering profound comfort and rest to the soul. The tone is pastoral and comforting, urging believers to rest in the finished work of Christ and rejoice in their complete justification.
