When Saint Stephen said he saw heaven open, he was speaking just before he was killed. In Acts of the Apostles 7:55–56, Stephen said:
“Look, I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”
The phrase “Son of Man” was a title Jesus often used for Himself. Stephen was declaring that Jesus Christ was alive, exalted by God, and sharing divine authority.
Knowing when to surrender in Gods presence.
Be still & know that he is God 🙏🏾

All had unforeseen circumstances that changed everything! Trust God in the season, he is always intentional
The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD" (Job 1:21) is a profound declaration of faith spoken by Job after losing his wealth and children. It signifies complete submission to God's sovereignty, acknowledging that all blessings are gifts, and God has the right to reclaim them.
Matthew 18:20 states, "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them"
Exodus 33:15 (ESV) says: "And he said to him, 'If your presence will not go with me, do not bring us up from here'".
Mark 12: 28-32
28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”
29 “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[e] 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[f] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[g] There is no commandment greater than these.”
32 “Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
The disciples were exactly where Jesus told them to be—yet they still encountered a storm. This reminds us that obedience does not exempt us from difficulty, but it does guarantee God’s presence. As we begin a new week, we may face unknown challenges, pressures, or fears. Like the disciples, we may feel overwhelmed and wonder if God sees or cares.
But this story assures us that Jesus is in the boat with us. Even when He seems silent, He is sovereign. The same voice that spoke creation into being still speaks peace over chaos today.
We see many encounters with God in the Bible. And in 2026 we pray for more encounters in our generation.
May we remember the true reason for the season. And that’s Jesus
