God has given us a prayer protocol. How to pray in the right way. Be filled with the Holy Spirit. Address prayer to God the Father, in the power of the Holy Spirit, and close in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. “So that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you” (John 15:16). What to pray: gratitude and thanksgiving, intercessions - pray foremothers; petitions - pray for self. Pray for the sanctification of food before you eat. “For it is to be sanctified by means of the Word of God and prayer” (1 Tim 4:5). Your prayer won’t be answered if you pray in arrogance or with the wrong motives. “Honor each other so your prayers will not be hindered” (1 Pet 3:7). Be patient and persistent in your prayers. God will answer in His timing, not yours.
