He explains that in order for us to pray and hold fast to God in prayer, we must know Him—and the key way we can do that is by reading the Bible, remembering the Word, and knowing God’s character. It is through the Bible that believers are able to pray to God, trust Him and build within the church family, even when the storms of life hit.
