This prayer is inspired by a passage on page 28 of a book called “The Sound of Life’s Unspeakable Beauty” by Martin Schleske.

Transcript:

Come, Holy Spirit, you are welcome in my heart and in my life.

I desire your presence. Help me to become aware of. Any part of me that is not welcoming you. May I not be mixed: part of me welcoming you and part of me shunning you.

Help me to become aware so that I can pray through and think through those barriers and ask for your help. To let go of them.

Help me to be single minded, wholehearted in my invitation and welcome of you.

Come Holy Spirit, help me to do God's will. Amen.
