I pray this week’s music will fill your heart to overflowing and bring you great delight, comfort and peace. Giving thanks for you!

We all need assurance. It’s a key ingredient to our humanity. We have been created with the capacity to love deeply, to strive through the most difficult of circumstances, and to have faith in that which is unseen. Yet we have also been created with mind, heart and soul that need nurturing, nourishment and care. We need to be loved deeply, we need support when we go through the most difficult of circumstances, and we need assurance from a God who promises to strengthen our faith in Him even when it seems impossible. May you find assurance, healing, mercy and grace—to be fully assured—in the One who loves you beyond measure as you listen to today’s musical offering.

Hear the Lord speak His words of love over you: “I am the Lord, your God, and I am with you. I am mighty to save you. I take great delight in you! I rejoice over you with singing and quiet you with my love” (Zephaniah 3:17, personalized). It’s incredible to think that the God of the universe would take the time to sing over each one of us and calm us—comfort us—with His love. This week’s music is one improvisation straight through focused on quieting your heart, mind, body and soul with love.

“The Lord will comfort Israel again and have pity on her ruins. Her desert will blossom like Eden, her barren wilderness like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found there. Songs of thanksgiving will fill the air” (Isaiah 51:3, NLT). Take this musical walk in “the garden of the Lord” and be filled with songs of joy, gladness and thanksgiving knowing that God is walking with you . . . right beside you . . . today and always.

In Psalm 62, King David wrote: “Power belongs to you, God, and with you, Lord, is unfailing love.” There are many other instances in the scriptures that point to God’s unfailing and unconditional love for His children. As a child of God, if you are hurting today from a lack of love from someone in your life, be reminded that there is always One who loves you . . . no matter what.

“Rise up, O Lord, in all Your power. With music and singing we celebrate Your mighty act” (Psalm 21:13, NLT). May this week’s music be a reminder of the One who gives us life, who created all things and chose to love us even before the creation of the world. Find blessing, joy and peace in His presence today and always.

This past Sunday the church celebrated Pentecost, the day when the Holy Spirit first came upon the apostles (Acts 2). This week’s podcast is a bit different in that it is one new improvisation straight through, what I hope was led by the Holy Spirit as I recorded it. May it remind you of God’s Presence with you today and help you to a place of peace.

In Psalm 36, the psalmist reminds us of the abundance of God’s unfailing love: “For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.” May today’s music bring you to the river of God’s grace and mercy so that you may experience his love flowing over you from his throne.
