The Indianapolis Colts are making moves, sending two key players packing as DeForest Buckner heads to San Francisco and Quenton Nelson heads to Seattle. What does this mean for Shane Steichen? Is his seat getting hotter, and will he even survive the season? Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers appear to be in prime position to land Jeremiah Smith in the 2027 NFL Draft. Could adding a generational talent finally turn this franchise around?  And what about the Philadelphia Eagles? With massive contracts looming for stars like Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell, could a fire sale be on the horizon? Or will Philly find a way to keep its championship window open?

The Miami Heat are sitting at 0-4 and digging themselves an early hole. Is it too early to worry, or do they have some serious work to do? The NFC North is one of the toughest divisions in football, but which team has what it takes to rise above the rest? We start in Chicago, where all eyes are on Caleb Williams, Ben Johnson and the Bears’ offense. With a new offensive vision in place, can Chicago finally take the next step, or will the defense hold them back from competing in a loaded division?

The Lions have the easiest schedule in the league, giving Detroit a major opportunity to stay on top. But will the offense keep clicking with a new offensive coordinator? And with injuries affecting key players on defense, can that unit hold up when the competition gets tougher?

We start in Atlanta, where the Falcons’ QB situation has Kev questioning whether this team can find any consistency. With Tua Tagovailoa getting the Week 1 nod over Michael Penix Jr., the pressure is already on. Then there’s the Falcons defense. Kev questions how much we should believe in their defensive prowess after losing key pieces from the pass rush — especially after spending last season trying to rebuild that unit.

The Panthers made the playoffs last season, but Rashad isn’t convinced they can repeat. With a tougher schedule ahead, can Carolina actually take that next step, or are we looking at a step backward?

Meanwhile, Kev is ALL IN on the Saints. After seeing Kellen Moore’s offense begin to take shape late last season, Kev believes New Orleans is ready for an ascension and could be the surprise team of the NFC South.

And don’t count out Rashad’s Buccaneers. He still believes Tampa Bay has the experience, talent and consistency to navigate what could once again be the NFL’s weakest division.

Prophet Playoff Theory is back — and this time we’re breaking down the NFC West!

We start with the lonely Arizona Cardinals. Are they a team without direction, or is there actually a plan in place? Kev asks the big question: Do the Cardinals give Carson Beck a real shot at quarterback?

Then we get to the first Super Bowl-or-bust team: the Los Angeles Rams. Aaron Donald is BACK, Matthew Stafford is coming off an MVP season, the Rams traded for superstar Myles Garrett, and Sean McVay remains one of the best coaches in football. With all that firepower, is anything short of a Super Bowl appearance a failure for LA?

Next up, the San Francisco 49ers. They’ve been in the headlines for plenty of reasons this offseason, not including football related means— but can they put the noise behind them and make another championship run? And is this ultimately their last “Go For It” year with this core?

Finally, the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks are chasing back-to-back titles. But with Klint Kubiak leaving for Las Vegas and Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker now in Kansas City, will the offense take a step back? Rashad says the Seahawks are underrated… but are they REALLY?

We’re breaking down the NFC East in this episode of The Prophet Playoff Theory — We start with the Dallas Cowboys, who completely overhauled the defensive side of the ball after major struggles last season. Can all these new pieces finally give Dallas the defense it needs to complement what was one of the NFL’s best offenses?

Then we head to New York, where John Harbaugh takes over as head coach. The Giants have plenty of optimism surrounding the new regime, but the Prophets have questions about Matt Nagy running the offense and what that means for Jaxson Dart’s development. Can Harbaugh get the Giants back into playoff contention immediately?

The Philadelphia Eagles are chasing a third straight NFC East division title. But with the A.J. Brown traded and changes around the offense, we have to ask: does losing Brown actually make this offense better, or is Philadelphia taking a major step backward?

And finally, the Washington Commanders. Kev isn’t exactly a believer — but out of respect for Jayden Daniels, the Prophets are giving Washington somewhere in the 7-to-9 win range. But could this season completely go off the rails if Daniels can’t stay healthy and the team doesn’t take the expected step forward?

The Prophet Playoff Theory is back, and this time we’re breaking down the AFC West — a division loaded with questions, expectations, and plenty of room for the Prophets to disagree.

 We start with last year’s division champs, the Denver Broncos. Was their success in one-score games a sign of a team that knows how to win, or is regression to the mean coming? Will Bo Nix take another major step forward, or has Sean Payton already put him in the perfect situation?

Then there’s the Kansas City Chiefs. After a rare down year, Kansas City is retooling — and Rashad and Kev aren’t exactly impressed with everything they see. But there are two things that make counting out the Chiefs dangerous: Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. When you have those two, anything is possible.

In Las Vegas, the Raiders bring in Klint Kubiak to lead the offense, With rookie Fernando Mendoza waiting in the wings, could Vegas have a bigger decision on its hands than expected?

And finally… “The Chargers are the Chargers.” — Rashad. We all know what that means. The Los Angeles Chargers have the talent, Justin Herbert, and a roster capable of competing for the division. But can they stay healthy in the spots that matter most? If the offensive line and key defensive pieces stay healthy, could this finally be the year the Chargers turn potential into playoff success?

The Prophet Playoff Theory heads to the AFC North, where all four teams enter 2026 with major questions, new leadership and plenty of pressure. 

First up: The Baltimore Ravens. Jesse Minter takes over as head coach and brings his defensive prowess to a team led by two-time MVP Lamar Jackson. Can Minter get Baltimore’s defense back to its dominant ways? Will Derrick Henry finally fall off a cliff, and can the offensive line keep this offense from being its own worst enemy?

 The Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati can’t afford another slow start. Joe Burrow’s health remains one of the biggest questions surrounding this team, but for the first time in a while, the Bengals have made major investments in their defense. Can Burrow make it through the entire season, and will the revamped defense finally give Cincinnati the ability to win some low-scoring games when the offense isn’t carrying the team?

The Cleveland Browns. Cleveland has a decision to make at quarterback, and Rashad and Keven aren’t waiting around — they believe Shedeur Sanders should start right away. Can the 2nd year QB take control of the offense and give the Browns a real direction at quarterback? And with Andrew Berry still running the front office, will Cleveland continue to hit on the draft picks needed to build this team back up?

The Pittsburgh Steelers. Mike McCarthy is in, and so is Aaron Rodgers for what could be his final NFL season. Is McCarthy’s system the perfect fit for this version of Rodgers, or are we asking too much from a 42-year-old quarterback? Can the McCarthy-Rodgers reunion recreate some of that Green Bay magic? And with Mike Tomlin no longer on the sideline, can Pittsburgh still find a way to finish around .500 or better?
