In Samuel’s first prophecy from the Lord, God gave a word of judgment to Eli the priest. That word was confirmed through action as God brought judgment on the priest and the whole nation. How should we respond to the word of God? With fear and reverence, always relying on the grace of Christ.

The whole book of Ruth has pointed to the need for Ruth’s and Naomi’s redemption. In Chapter 4, they are redeemed! Is there anything better than redemption? Absolutely not!
