Mankind is guilty of terrible sin, and God is the righteous Judge. Our only hope? Christ Jesus the Lord.

The gospel is truly good news, but it’s when we understand the bad news that it becomes all the better. Today on our podcast, we look at Romans 1:18-32, the bad news about our denial of God. Let it lead you to Jesus!

Because the gospel is urgent, and because the gospel is powerful, the gospel of Christ ought to be our priority.

As Paul opened his letter to the Romans, he began by saying who he was in Christ, who Jesus is as the Christ, and who all Christians are because of Christ. We are who we are, because of Jesus!

Today, it’s the conclusion to the book of Acts. Paul arrived in Rome, but the mission wasn’t over. It isn’t over till Jesus takes us home!

When Paul was delayed by a shipwreck, he didn’t waste time. Every day is a day we can serve the Lord. Make the most of your time!

Just because we are in the center of God’s will for us does not mean that things will be easy. Paul demonstrated this in his own life when enduring a terrible storm and shipwreck on his way to Rome. God’s will for Paul was fulfilled even in the midst of the storm.

There’s only two responses to the gospel of Jesus: repentance & faith, or resistance & rejection. Don’t reject Jesus…believe!

Though on trial for the 4th time, Paul was happy. Why? Because he had the chance to speak of Jesus. How blessed we are when we get the chance to tell how Jesus transforms sinners into His servants!

Without the apostle Paul even being in the room, God used a Roman governor to proclaim the basics of the gospel to an unbelieving king. God often uses unexpected people and situations for His glory. How so? Because God is sovereign!
