Despite all the opposition he faced, Nehemiah didn’t allow himself to get distracted. God had given him a job to do, and he was determined to see it done. The day of God’s judgment is approaching, whether we recognize it or not. This is God’s promise, and what God says is always true. Thankfully, His loving mercy is also certain, for the desire of God is to see sinful people saved.
