Sermon by Pastor David Ryu, on Sunday November 9, 2025, at Diaspora Church. The sermon text comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11.
For some believers, the lack of assurance of salvation may be a constant struggle throughout their lives. Even Charles Spurgeon, who was the brightest preacher of the gospel in his day, at times struggled with assurance of his own salvation. However, the Bible plainly teaches that our heavenly Father desires for His children to have full assurance of His love, of His faithfulness, of His power to save His own. In this sermon, Pastor David Ryu answers 3 essential questions: 1) What is assurance of salvation? 2) What is the source of true assurance? 3) How is true assurance cultivated?
