AND GOD REMEMBERED THEIR AFFLICTION and SIGHING.
Exodus 2.23-25
A beautiful historical account to remind us again about how precious we are to God. The situation of the Nation of Israel in the land of Egypt raised up to God as a petition, they were compelled by pharaoh to make bricks without straw. It was an affliction on the Children of Israel.
At this point, to whom would they run to?
Affliction is a persistent pain and great suffering (Miriam Webster). The Children of Israel had no political godfather to run to, no military general to fight for them, no judge to attend to their case but then, little did they know that their SIGHING ascended as a petition.
The scripture says; "So God heard their groaning and REMEMBERED His Covenant... with Abraham..."
Are you weary and heavy hearted with the way things are going?
Have you been asked to make bricks without straw?
Are you being afflicted with the challenges of:
1. Childbearing?
2. Suitable life partner?
3. Unemployment?
4. The flesh?
5. Finance and turbulent marital homes?
6. Health
etc.
God always pay attention to us but, we just need a little more patience to give God access to our problems. Let Him fix it.
Whatever your groaning may be today, I pray for you, may you and your household be remembered by God.
To those who are yet to be part of the kingdom of Christ, Jesus is standing, waiting patiently for you to come close for He is waiting.
