Mark 4.39
At a time, the storm was unbearable for the little faith disciples. There next action was to question the authority of Jesus' authority as God but then, they knew that just a call away, the Master won't decline their plea. And Jesus speaks peace to the raging storm, commanding calmness. Even though the storm was resistant, the result of Jesus’s command was instant calm. The effect Jesus wanted wasn’t gradual but immediate. Many times, we don’t see immediate answers or solutions to our problems when we call on Jesus, but in this instance, He wanted to show the disciples and us, His ultimate power to fully build their and our faith.
How can we peace and stillness amidst our storms of life? 1 Peter 5.7
