YOU CAN HAVE PEACE WITH GOD
What Is Peace?
So many people strive for one thing more than any other—peace. The reason they seek it is because there’s no lasting comfort or freedom in their lives. It’s like they are always unsettled. The Bible defines peace primarily in three ways.
Psychological peace, the comfort within - 2 Thessalonians 3.16
Relational peace, harmony among humanity - Hebrews 12.14
Spiritual peace, which is between God and man - Peace with God means our consciences are cleared (Hebrews 10:22; Titus 3:5). The overwhelming weight of guilt that plagued us all is gone, placed on Jesus on the cross (Colossians 2:14; 1 Peter 2:24).
The Bible outlines how sin damages or wipes out all three types of peace. When God created man, he was at peace with God, himself, and everyone else. However, that peace was lost when he turned against God. Peace can be restored, but we can’t do it alone. God provided a way.
Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, was sent to our world to take away our sins. He did so by allowing Himself to be crucified, and it was that sacrifice that made it possible for us to have peace again—peace within ourselves, peace with each other and peace with God.
After Jesus died on the cross, He came back to life. That demonstrated Jesus is God, but also made it clear He desires for everyone to have perfect peace. “For He Himself is our peace, … and He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near” (Ephesians 2:14-17).
Jesus empowers each of us to overcome every type of sin. No matter how difficult your situation feels, Christ can break through it. But you must first acknowledge your sin and commit to Jesus, then you can have perfect peace and know its meaning.
Jesus said, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me” (John 16:33).
The fact is that you can not give yourself that peace, your husband, wife, siblings, family, colleagues and pastors can give it to you!
To have this perfect peace, you must know the One who can give it. And you must be ready to make that happen by yourself.
Are You Ready For The Peace Jesus Offers?
Just what you need to do is to receive the Lord Jesus Christ into your life as your only Savior and hope for eternal life not by the creed and assumptions of men which you can also declare to yourself. But a better way Christ has laid down for us to carefully follow and that is found in scripture. Come to Christ just as you are by;
Hearing and obeying the gospel - Romans 10.17
Believe the gospel - Mark 16.15-16; Romans 10.13-14; Hebrews 11.6
Repent off your sins - Luke 13.3;5, Acts 3.19
Confess faith in Christ - Acts 8.33
Be baptized for the remission of your sins - Mark 16.16; Acts 2.36-40; 16.30
And you will be added to the church Christ bought with His precious blood - Matthew 16.16-18; Acts 20.28; Romans 16.16
And the God of peace will guard your heart with the peace that surpasses all human understanding in Christ name, Amen.
