BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO DIED IN LORD.
Revelation 14.12-13
Death according to nature is inevitable. Everyone as the scripture says were all made from the dust and to the dust everyone shall return. Although, in the entire history of mankind, it has been recorded that only two men did not die, Enoch and Elijah.
Death is the termination of breath from the human body, the extraction of the spirit which gives life and direction to the human body back to its maker "all go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all shall return" (Eccl. 3.20).
But it becomes so funny to see people who are not certain about their tomorrow praying for others who are gullible and afraid that they will not die. Revelation is an interesting scripture that depicts the essence of Christianity with its rewards. But then, it appears to be one of the most scary scriptures to study because of its imagery messages from the spiritual to the physical.
To begin with, Revelation 14.12-13 tells us about the saints who have labored for the cause of the gospel, whose blood were spilled all over the earth. Verse 12 speaks of the patience of these saints. Who then are these people?
The scripture says they are people;
Washed by the blood of the Lamb Rev. 1.5
Who endured all the pains - Romans 8.18
Who were faithful with their works - Rev. 14.13
Who will inherit the eternal rest - Rev. 2.10
How did they reach these above listed blessings?
The saints became saints;
Through the new birth - Romans 6.4
By staying in the straight path with obedience to the word of the LORD
By faith in the LORD - Hebrews 11.38
On the whole, this is an urgent matter that needs careful thought as we journey in this world. One of the most important questions we need to ask ourselves is; "What if...?"
"Will I make it...?"
For the scripture says that it is appointed for you and I to die once and after that is judgment (Hebrews 9.27).
What will become of you when you die?
Will you be counted among the blessed who are sleeping in the LORD and will inherit the eternal rest (Hebrews 4.9)?
How about putting your best to come before His Presence Just As You Are if you are thinking you're not gonna make. But if you know, that you are not going to make it to heaven with Christ either by death or ascension, why not make sure this moment by visiting the Church of Christ nigh you or call 07060510595 for further information.
May the LORD help us to live for Him, be patient as those who have gone on before us. Amen!
