Dealing with God should occur every moment; there is no time we are not dealing with Him. How poor and miserable are those who deal with God through the church’s liturgical media or ceremonies, which is also done in many religions, primitive religions, and ancient beliefs which in dealing with their worship is only for a moment, during their ceremonies. This became the standard for the Israelites, who did not know the Gospel of the Kingdom then. They had prayer times, and they had to face Jerusalem as their qibla. There were days when they performed religious ceremonies. This state cannot be avoided because that is their portion individually.
Not many people can interact with Elohim YAHWEH, the God of Israel. Only the high priest can enter the Holy of Holies once a year. If specific people can interact with God, they are unique individuals who can be counted, such as Abraham, Moses, and others. The High Priest generally represented the Israelites, and their interaction with God was within the law. So, if on the Sabbath day, they interact with God through the Sabbath law, at their dining table, they interact with God through the laws of what is kosher and forbidden. They interact with God about the appropriate clothing for Jewish women. That is already interaction, but not directly with the Person of God.
Entering the New Testament, Lord Jesus began to teach the format of worshiping God in spirit and truth—direct interaction with God in everything, of course, through good behavior. Believers must interact directly with the feelings of God because what concerns is not just about what is good but also what is pleasing and perfect. Rom12:1-2 says, “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.”
So, if the Israelites represent the Abrahamic religions, they please God by obeying the written law—violating it can result in legal offenses with their sanctions—while believers fulfill the will of God because our law is God Himself. This reality shows an extraordinary life, which is not normal. To achieve this kind of life, one must study diligently, be seized to enter the school of life, and have Christ’s mind and feelings in line with the mind and emotions of the Father. That’s why sin in the Christian concepts is not just breaking the law but inaccuracy. The word often used is hamartia, which means to miss the mark.
So, not just being a good person who doesn’t break the law, but in everything, precision, in line with the mind and feelings of God, which is equivalent to living according to the spirit. That’s why being a chosen people must be willing to lose anything to experience a change in nature to a level or stage where everything done is precise, just as God desires. Talking about this should evoke a sense of awe and trembling in our hearts. How far are we from that state? The life that God desires for humans is like this, so the humans we have now are imitations, not originals—the imitations of a wrong image taught by Lucifer.
Lucifer offered Eve the fruit of knowledge of good and evil with the promise of becoming like God. What’s wrong with knowing what is good and evil? Isn’t it good if we know what good and evil are? But that was considered wrong and judged to lose the glory of God because what God desires is not knowledge of what is good and evil but the ability to think as He thinks. So, it is not a standard of what is good and evil, but what is pleasing to God and perfect in His eyes. Religion teaches the ethics of what is good and evil. However, the original standard of human design according to God is an enlightened per...
