"Do not be afraid..." says Our Lord Jesus in the gospel of this Sunday.
There are many, many things that can make us afraid, disconcerted, downhearted and despondent about the world and the Church in this age. Some say that the springtime promised by Vatican II has not eventuated, but rather, a dire winter. Yet, we trust in Christ, who has conquered the world and Satan. We must remain faithful and prefer nothing to the love of Christ.
