In Episode 122, I have the privilege of conversing with Grandmaster, Alexander Shabalov, an American chess grandmaster and a four-time winner of the United States Chess Championship (1993, 2000, 2003, 2007). He was born in Riga, Latvia, and like his fellow Latvians Aleksejs Shirov and Mikhail Tal, he is known for courting complications even at the cost of objective soundness. In Episode 118, I converse with Grandmaster Max Dlugy, an American Chess Grandmaster. Dlugy won the World Junior Chess Championship in 1985. He worked on Wall Street and became a principal of the Russian Growth Fund, a hedge fund. Nowadays he is the owner of Chess Max Academy. In Episode 117, I have the privilege of conversing with Debbie Eastburn, CEO and President at Chess in the Schools (CIS). Chess in the Schools serves over 12,000 low-income students in Title 1 New York City public schools through structured classroom chess instruction, after school clubs, chess tournaments, summer programs, and a College Bound program for over 100 high school students. We use chess as an educational tool to promote learning and to help young people develop skills in critical thinking and problem solving.We talk about my experience working at CIS, the organizations' mission, the benefits of chess, an overview of CIS' programming, corporate sponsorships, fundraising, COVID-19 transition, remote instruction and more.

In Episode 116, I have the pleasure of conversing with Sylvie Heyman, the author of "Make it a HABIT" and "Beyond the Holocaust: An Immigrant's Search for Identity". She is a survivor of World War II . She started her career as a registered nurse specializing in obstetrics and later on, heading the cardiac operating room at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NY, as an educator and administrator. Since then she was an acupuncturist and chiropractor and currently is a Certified Health Coach, focusing on five habits Habits of Health: healthy weight, healthy diet, healthy physical activities, healthy sleep, and healthy mindset.
