In Episode 59, I converse with National Expert John Hendrick, who has offered chess classes and tournaments in Houston and Katy for the last twelve years.Mr. Hendrick graduated cum laude in 2005 with a B.S. in Pscyhology and a B.A. in Anthropology. His passion for chess began when he was in middle school. He went on to be the 1996 Texas State Scholastic Champion in his sophomore year of high school. This was when Mr. Hendrick discovered that chess could become a lifelong endeavor and he longed to share this skill with others.We discuss virtual learning, the benefits of streaming on Twitch, book recommendations and his road to master.

He received his Bachelor's Degree from Yeshiva University in 1987 and his Certificate in Financial Planning from New York University in 1992. In January 2007 he developed the Business & Personal Financial Optimizer System and won a National Award for Consumer Education from NSACE. Eric is an experienced contributor and speaker and has appeared on Fox News "Fox & Friends Show" as an insurance expert several times.We speak about networking, ways to stay productive during COVID-19, risk management on and off the chess board, savings and more.
