Jordan Congdon has gotten his share of kicks in life. From St. Augustine to Nebraska to USC, Congdon is one of the best placekickers to split the uprights here in San Diego. He played high school ball at Pt. Loma, later starred at San Diego State, and then went on to achieve All Pro status in the NFL. La'Roi Glover put up numbers on the defensive side of ball that has him in the conversation to one day be inducted into the Football Hall of Fame. Stevie Johnson was the first Buffalo Bills wide receiver to record back-2-back 1000-yard seasons, not bad for a 7th round draft choice!  His odds defying accomplishments on the field, making him an ideal mentor off the field.  Hence the creation of H_B_H_F, an acronym that stands for "Handle Business Have Fun." Charles James is widely recognized as the man that returned the San Diego High football program to state champion status. More importantly he has dedicated his life to providing educational opportunities to students who might not otherwise have to them.

Lew Barnes is a graduate of Lincoln High School. He was the first Hornet thru the pipeline to Oregon University. Barnes was an All-American 1st team wide receiver for the Ducks and later, was a 5th round draft pick of the Chicago Bears. Barnes retired from football back in 1991, or so he thought.
