We wrap up the winter sports state championships and start to look forward to spring sports on this week's edition of Prep Sports Weekly for Monday, April 6, 2026. We start with Jackson high school's double state championship winner in boys swimming, sophomore Syunta Lee. He won with 200 IM and the 500 Free (this year and last year); posting a state record in the 200 in 2025 and besting it in 2026. Then we hear from the Jackson Timberwolves baseball team with head coach Joe Fleury and players Gavin Clark, Quin Johns and Austin Halvorson. We get a bonus chat with Jackson's opponent, defending 2A state champions Bainbridge Spartans, head coach Thomas Henshaw. We meet the Everett Seagulls softball team with Anna Luscher, Mia Hoekendorf, Braylen Yarwood and Haylie Oyler. We conclude with the Lynnwood boys soccer captains Henrry Torres and Adam Calkins.
