Show Notes:

  1.  Mindset — Start by understanding it’s going to be hard, understand you’re going to have to make sacrifices but set yourself up with a strong foundation by practicing a resilient mindset. Be Constant in mindset work. Understand it’s going to be a JOURNEY.
  2. Vision — Where do you want to go? What do you want your life to look like? Vision board. Seeing daily. Write down your ideal life in all categories. Career, financial, relational, material, health/personal, travel/adventure
  3. Gifts — What are you good at? Who are you meant to serve? What skills/abilities make you stand out?
  4. What are you doing when you feel in flow? On fire? Motivated? Start with your purpose or your mission statement
  5. Get to know you — write down good and bad qualities, who you are / who you want to be. Journal, reflect, and become your own best friend.
  6. One step at a time. We see our whole lives ahead of us. We have these giant DREAMS that feel so far fetch.. I”m trying to separate the word dream from the vision I have of my future.. in my opinion, dreams happen when I’m sleeping, VISION happens when I’m wide awake walking in my purpose. We tend to think of our “dreams” as fantasies.. when really it’s our hearts desire to accomplish these things, so let’s take step by step action day by day to work toward it. I remember talking to a friend in January about everything I had in mind for GFB I had word vomited everything and didn’t have a clue where to start, pick one. One thing and start there.
  7. Establish a routine: Morning/evening, side hustle time
  8. Pull your resources: How can you and your friends serve each other.. The road less traveled is about the relationships, who know, the connections you create etc. One thing can lead to another with just one person
  9. Understand the difference between discomfort and anxiety
  10. Gear up build a shield — why do dogs bark at other dogs? Because they’re intimidated, feel inferior, threatened, insecure.. maybe jealous, territorial? Not everyone’s going to be for you, not everyones going to understand. You doing what others wouldn’t makes them uncomfortable. People only judge and have negative opinions while watching you do something outside their comfort zone
  11. Define your lane and stay in it — Once you’ve figured out your end goal, work every day to stay laser focused. Take a stance, don’t let peoples opinions/judgements sway you.
  12. In contrast — Start by knowing you’ll need to be flexible. Nothing ever goes as planned. Say yes to opportunities, look at every situation as a chance to serve or be served. Everything happens for a reason, don’t be so rigid you miss what the universe is trying to provide.
  13. Let go of expectations: Projects will turn out way better than you anticipated. And many will completely flop. Nothing has turned out how I expected it to.. But there’s really no such thing as failing when I manipulate every setback to my advantage. I leverage ever disappointment to propel me into my future.
  14. Be smart about finances — Save, invest back in your business, save, don’t spend money on luxury business items before you’re ready — ex: videographer.
  15. Don’t let your emotions get in your way — setback, altered, essentially slowed my pace for other people.
