prepare为“准备某物”，后面直接加名词，比如：prepare a meal准备一顿饭prepare food准备食物prepare a speech准备演讲稿

prepare for是“为...做准备”，强调过程，比如：prepare for a journey为旅行做准备

prepare for a meeting为会议做准备

I need to prepare for my job interview tomorrow.我需要为明天的面试做准备。

What a pity! I have to prepare for the speech competition.真可惜！我得为演讲做准备。

take和take along的区别？

take表示“取，拿”强调这个动作；而take along强调随身携带某物或某人
