In John 14, Jesus reminds His disciples that real peace isn’t the absence of trouble but the presence of the Holy Spirit.
True peace begins with obedience. When we walk in obedience and trust, we make room for the peace that only God can give—peace that flows continually, just as Isaiah 48:18 declares: “Oh that you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river.”
Through the Holy Spirit—our Advocate and Counselor—we are empowered to live with divine contentment, joy, and peace. These are the good gifts of the Father, freely given to His children. You can have peace today for the problems of tomorrow when your heart is anchored in Him.
