Preparing Young Adults for Purpose

Reflection
 As children grow into young adults, they begin to ask some of life’s most important questions — Who am I? Why am I here? What am I meant to do? This is a defining season when purpose begins to take shape. God’s words to Jeremiah remind us that purpose is not something we invent; it is something God designed before we were born. When God called Jeremiah, he was young and uncertain. He said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young” (Jeremiah 1:6). Yet, God replied, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to” (Jeremiah 1:7). God saw potential where Jeremiah saw limitation. In the same way, our young adults need voices that echo God’s truth over their insecurities. They need guidance that affirms their identity in Christ and helps them understand that purpose isn’t found in popularity, success, or approval—but in obedience to God’s calling. Our role is not to plan their purpose but to prepare their hearts—teaching them to listen to God, to develop character before career, and to anchor their ambitions in eternal values. When we nurture faith, discipline, and courage in them, we are helping them step into divine destiny.
