Rene Gube (writer, Up All Night) joins Jen to talk about a couple of amazing indie movies starring and co-written by Brit Marling. Whether playing a girl whose quest for redemption after a drunk driving accident coincides with the discovery of another Earth that's a mirror to ours, or a girl forming a cult of followers around herself by claiming to be from the year 2054, Marling makes movies that leave a great deal up to the viewer's interpretation. Which means Rene and Jen have an awful lot to talk about.
An important note on spoilers! Rene and Jen discuss the end of Sound of My Voice from 49:25-56:19 and the end of Another Earth from 56:19-1:03:26, so if you haven't seen either or both of these movies yet, you can safely listen to the rest of the episode and just avoid the relevant spoiler-y chunks.
