This Sunday we'll be temporarily leaving one group of leaders, the Judges of the Old Testament, to look at another in the New as we see the Holy Spirit coming to the Apostles at Pentecost in Acts 2. It was a unique episode in so many ways, and yet one that has so much meaning and importance for us today.

The sermon explores the book of Ruth as a testament to God's sovereignty and faithfulness during the dark period of the Judges. It highlights three key observations: that a faithful remnant exists even in the darkest times, that hardships often fall upon believers regardless of their piety, and that divine blessing frequently arrives through unexpected and unlikely means.
