Present with The Lord

I was saved at 10 years of age by saying a simple prayer of salvation with my mother. The next morning I looked out my bedroom window. I saw the morning stars and suddenly knew that this incredible Creator God was my personal loving heavenly Father, and I was his son.

As a teenager I was delivered of a generational curse, baptised in the Holy Spirit, and healed of partial deafness. At this time I also received a divine call to pastor. I grew up in the charismatic movement, and was greatly influenced by the faith & healing teaching of Jim Glennon (Healing Service, St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Sydney).

I received Biblical training at Wheaton College USA (B.A. in Biblical Studies), Ridley College, Melbourne (B.Th & Dip. Min.) and training in cross-cultural ministry Church Missionary Society, Melbourne.

I served as a pastor in a charismatic anglican church in Melbourne (1989-92), then worked with FGBMFI in Paraguay, South America (1993-98), and pastored River of Life Church, Prestons (1999-2011). In 2004 the Lord called me in a dream to Indonesia, and Encounter Ministries was born.

I have been welcomed to minister across denominational lines. When available I attend churches near my home, in the town of Grenfell, NSW, Aust.

My preaching focuses on the present reality of Jesus Christ, the authority and power of the Word of God. I have a strong desire to help the church to apply in a practical way the principles of God’s Word in their personal lives and ministries. Many also respond to the Gospel.

I have a strong belief in submission to local church authority and unity. I find that this provides a wonderful context through which the Holy Spirit moves powerfully.

While a teenager the Lord spoke to me to write books that would be simple and easy to understand. I have since written: Getting Started, I Choose to Believe, I am the Lord Your Healer, Your Kingdom Come, The Principles of Heaven, The Presence of God, The Foundation, and Speak of What I’ve Done. My fervent desire is that God be glorified, that souls be won to the Kingdom, and people experience the Glory of Jesus Christ. I love to expound the Scriptures in a way that people experience the awesome reality of God’s Word.

In his messages, Mark discusses having faith in the midst of trials. We can stand on His word no matter the circumstances. Many times we see the goodness of God in the midst of the trials we go through, as we continue to fix our eyes on Jesus and not turn back.

Banning Liebscher is the founder of pastor of Jesus Culture, a ministry of worship, events, and leadership development. In 2014, Banning and the Jesus Culture team planted Jesus Culture Sacramento, church committed to seeing believers encounter God, be empowered as world changers, and engage their city as leaders. In his message, Banning talks about having courage. The Lord always calls us to the impossible, so we need courage in order to stay the course and trust Him. Banning, says staying in the presence of the Lord and waiting on Him is one of the biggest ways to stay in courage, and how the enemy fights against that. As well the enemy will try and isolate individuals from the body, which nearly always leads to discouragement as we need one another in order to run the race before us with endurance.

When only seven years old and walking on a dirt road in Arkansas; the Arch Angel Gabriel appeared to Bob Jones on a white horse and blew a double silver trumpet in his face. He then threw an old bull skin mantle at Bob’s feet. Although fearful at the time he ran, however, many years later he returned to pick up that old mantle which is that of a Seer Prophet. God promised Bob that he would see the beginning of one billion souls coming into the kingdom in one great wave of the end time harvest.

Leonard Ravenhill (June 18, 1907 – November 27, 1994) was an English Christian evangelist and author who focused on the subjects of prayer and revival. He is best known for challenging western evangelicalism (through his books and sermons) to compare itself to the early Christian Church as chronicled in the Book of Acts. He was a proponent of the moral government or Governmental theory of atonement. His most notable book is Why Revival Tarries which has sold over a million copies worldwide.

In his message, Ravenhill uses the example of Paul the Apostle to call the church back to simplicity of the Gospel. He calls the church to live a life laid down and become a bond servant of the Lord. A body who truly grows up in Christ, not simply receiving salvation and never progressing past that point. A church that has fully laid down who we are, and by the power of the Holy Spirit rises again to become all that the Lord wants us to be.

Jeremiah Johnson is a gifted teacher, prophet and author of multiple books. He travels extensively throughout the United States and abroad as a conference and guest speaker.
