Cs: Ve vzduchu visel podzim.
En: Autumn hung in the air.

Cs: Studený vítr foukal přes husté lesy Šumavy, zbarvené do nádherných odstínů oranžové a zlaté.
En: A cold wind blew through the dense Šumava forests, colored in stunning shades of orange and gold.

Cs: Karel, zkušený dřevorubec, stál na okraji lesa.
En: Karel, an experienced woodcutter, stood at the edge of the forest.

Cs: Byl to zvláštní den.
En: It was a special day.

Cs: Karel věděl, že tahle část lesa, plná vzpomínek na dětství a jeho zesnulého otce, má být pokácena.
En: Karel knew that this part of the forest, full of memories of childhood and his deceased father, was to be cut down.

Cs: Karel vzpomínal na časy, kdy tu tábořil s otcem.
En: Karel recalled the times he camped here with his father.

Cs: Byly to krásné chvíle, uprostřed přírody, daleko od civilizace.
En: Those were beautiful moments, in the middle of nature, far from civilization.

Cs: Ale nyní stál před dilematem.
En: But now he faced a dilemma.

Cs: Jako pracovník musel zajistit ekonomické přežití své rodiny.
En: As a worker, he had to ensure the economic survival of his family.

Cs: Logování bylo důležitou prací v oblasti.
En: Logging was an important job in the area.

Cs: Ale zároveň chtěl chránit místo, které pro něj tolik znamenalo.
En: But at the same time, he wanted to protect the place that meant so much to him.

Cs: "Musíme to udělat, Karle," povzdechl si Petr, jeho kolega, a díval se na plánování na zítřejší práci.
En: "We have to do it, Karel," sighed Petr, his colleague, looking at the plan for the next day's work.

Cs: "Nemáme jinou možnost.
En: "We don't have another option.

Cs: Tímto směrem bude víc dřeva."
En: In this direction, there will be more wood."

Cs: Karel nevěřícně zakroutil hlavou.
En: Karel shook his head in disbelief.

Cs: "Nemůžeme pokácet tadyto místo.
En: "We can't cut this place down.

Cs: Je to důležité.
En: It's important.

Cs: Co kdybychom se přesunuli tamhle, za potok?"
En: What if we move over there, beyond the stream?"

Cs: Petr zaváhal.
En: Petr hesitated.

Cs: "Musíš mluvit s Janou.
En: "You need to talk to Jana.

Cs: Ona rozhoduje."
En: She decides."

Cs: Jana, vedoucí týmu, byla rozumná, ale i ona musela dbát na ekonomické potřeby společnosti.
En: Jana, the team leader, was reasonable, but she also had to consider the company's economic needs.

Cs: Karel věděl, že musí být přesvědčivý.
En: Karel knew he had to be convincing.

Cs: Když nastal čas, postavil se před Janu s odhodláním.
En: When the time came, he stood before Jana with determination.

Cs: "Potřebujeme to místo.
En: "We need this place.

Cs: Ale tamhle za potokem je také dobré dřevo.
En: But over there beyond the stream, there's also good wood.

Cs: Můžeme tam udělat kus práce, aniž bychom ničili něco, co je hodnotné," promlouval Karel.
En: We can work there without destroying something valuable," Karel spoke.

Cs: Jana chvíli mlčela.
En: Jana was silent for a moment.

Cs: Byla to těžká situace.
En: It was a tough situation.

Cs: Nakonec kývla.
En: Finally, she nodded.

Cs: "Zapůjčím ti důvěru, Karle.
En: "I'll trust you, Karel.

Cs: Musíme dodržet termíny a zajistit, aby byl dřeva dostatek.
En: We have to meet deadlines and ensure there's enough wood.

Cs: Ale pokusíme se přesměrovat do té jiné části."
En: But we'll try to redirect to that other part."

Cs: S ulehčením a vděčností Karel přikývl.
En: With relief and gratitude, Karel nodded.

Cs: Bylo to víc, než doufal.
En: It was more than he hoped for.

Cs: Naučil se, že i jednoduchý dřevorubec může prosadit své hodnoty.
En: He learned that even a simple woodcutter can uphold his values.

Cs: Jen potřebuje odvahu a správný plán.
En: He just needs courage and the right plan.

Cs: Podzimní den v Šumavě dál pokračoval, se svým kouzlem a barvami.
En: The autumn day in Šumava continued, with its charm and colors.

Cs: Les mohl být dočasně v bezpečí, a tak i Karel našel klid v duši, vědom si důležitého úkolu, který ho čeká – chránit to, na čem vážně záleží.
En: The forest could be temporarily safe, and thus Karel found peace in his soul, aware of the important task that awaited him—to protect what truly matters.
