Our guest, Sherrilyn Ifill, a dedicated lawyer and the former president of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, is launching the 14th Amendment Center for Law & Democracy at Howard University, which promotes the vision of equality that the 14th Amendment promised – civil rights for all US citizens. She talks about how we as citizens can make the vision of equality a reality and why it is so important to know our American history.
