President Joe Biden and China’s President Xi Jinping squared off in a high stakes meeting, breaking their one-year silence. Over the last year tensions have been high between the two nations, filled with fear the two nations might go to war with one another. During the meeting, Jinping said, “For two large countries like China and the United States, turning their back on each other is not an option.”
