Jonas and Bethany Cortes bring us a powerful message about coming together to worship God through our lives and our obedience. How important it is to, "Present your bodies as sacrifices of praise, holy, and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service" (Romans 12:1). "It's not your ability that defines you, it's your record that defines you." Pastor Craig Campbell, Senior Pastor of Faith Temple here in Rochester, NY, shares an amazing word. He reminded us that it is okay to avoid some battles. Those battles we try to face can cause us to define ourselves in a negative way. But we must remember that God has a different plan for our lives and some battles belong to Him; not us! Let's stay encouraged by the grace of God as you listen to this wonderful message.   

"With radiant love and radical humility we can become overcomers when the light seems to be dim." Dr. Nathan and Rev. Emily remind us that God will guide us through the darkest times and will eventually show us the light. They mentioned, "If we put our pride aside and let God into our lives our walk with Christ will become stronger." Philippians talks about how we, as Christians, should shine like stars and guide each other out of the dark. If you are feeling down or feel like things are getting dim, this word would change your view on how you see things into a new perspective!

"When things are difficult and things are not happening when we think they should the enemy tries to convince us that we have to beg God for help." Have you ever felt that way? Having gone through the year of 2020, maybe we all feel like nothing is happening. But we serve a God who is forever faithful. In this first President's Chapel of the year, through the stories of several characters in the Bible who had faith in who God was and got what they needed, Dr. Antonelli encourages us in how to take the next step in our lives in this new year.

In our last President's Chapel of 2020, Dr. Antonelli shares a powerful word about endurance. He states, "Endurance is a key word in your ministry if we want to succeed and accomplish the work the Lord has empowered us to do." We all make mistakes in this life. We must not let those mistakes defeat us but teach us so we can grow further in our walk with the Lord. If you have been thinking about quitting your ministry this is a word for you! 

"When God opens a door, we need to trust Him and follow His voice without fear of the unknowns." Pastors Chris and Carol Ball shared with our student body about trusting in God when He asks us to follow His voice. They state, "Don't fix your eyes on the unknowns because it will bring you fear!
