Are we willing to lay down our "I want" or our "I will" for the desires of the Lord? Even if what He wants us to do is not what we really want to do? Tom Brazell, former Global Ministry Director for Elim Fellowship, encourage us to change our mentality in regards to our will. He states, "that when we do what the Lord asks us to do, even when we don't understand or like it, we will find wonderful fulfillment in Him." His heart for the Lord encourage us to let our will be changed for the will of the Lord. This is a message you don't want to miss. 

Matt Drake teaches us about how to find your purpose and calling in life. He also discusses what to expect when God starts to move in your life. He uses stories from his life to encourage us on our journey to the calling God has placed on our lives. “You don’t need a clear call to take a great risk for the Kingdom of God”. What is God calling you to? 

There are two types of complainers; analytical and critical.  We need to be more like analytical complainers. Rev. Mike states "The number one lie is this one. If someone is close to God, they will have less problems." However, everyone has problems.  All complaining is against God. He takes it personally and He gets angry when we complain. The remedy for complaining is praise and gratitude. When we are anxious about the future we are complaining in advance. In every situation that comes our way we need to give thanks and praises to the Lord.    

Simon Tanner, Director of Helimission, shares a powerful message about desiring the fire of God. Simon states that the majority of Christians desire the presence of God but a few desire His fire. His refining fire! "Many times we forget that fruit comes from God's fire. The most beautiful things come from fire! We need to go through it so that we can be more like God!" Are you willing to desire His fire so that you can be more like Him? 

Bonny Hoeflein, an EBIC alumni, shares a powerful message on the faithfulness of God! She states that, "Throughout the ages, God is faithful. When you go through hardships, God is still there." Through her Elim experiences, she encourages us to trust in God! Listen to this message, you won't regret it!  

As we continue with our message from last week, '7 keys to changing your future', Rev. Mike Cavanaugh encourages us to persevere. Changing our future is not easy. Many times we may want to settle for the minimum, but we need to persevere making these changes. We need to press on even if it's painful or as Pastor Mike says, "We need to give up to go up!"

"If you were to continue to live your life the way you are today, and you were to die at 80, what regrets would you have? That is if nothing changed, what regrets might you have?" In this new school year Rev. Mike's heart is to see our students succeed in different areas. Through this message, he encourages us to grow in planning.
