Before the beginning of world, God has set us apart for his kingdom. We need to honor his calling by remaining in his holiness. The final session for day one of week of prayer was led by Bishop Robert Stearns of Eagle’s Wings. Stearns preaches on waiting on the Lord. No one asks for the gift of waiting. As much as waiting can be difficult, we cannot rush a planted seed. Stearns speaks on the story of Simeon and how he waited for the coming of the Messiah. He encourages us to take a place in the spirit to wait for the Lord’s Glory.

The third session of week of prayer was led by Pastor Phil McNeil. Graduate of Elim, McNeil speaks on prophecy and listening to the voice of the Lord. He emphasizes the importance of singing and praying in the spirit. God is capable of speaking in many ways, so it’s important to be sensitive to His voice when we prophesy.

As Elim’s annual week of prayer kicks off, President Mike Cavanaugh starts off the week with a teaching on ‘How to Kick Start your Prayer Week.’ It’s crucial to understand the importance of prayer. Cavanaugh breaks down practical ways to pray with purpose and good practices to help your prayer time: Journaling, speaking in tongues, being still, waiting, etc.

What do we need to do in order to experience the outpouring of the Holy Spirit? Through this message, Gary Ham remind us of something basic. Prayer and godly lives.
