If you want to understand the remarkable man William Goodge has become — not simply what he has achieved, but what drives him, what built him — watch this episode of PRESS RECORD.
This is a story about how loss can change us, not only for the better, but forever.
Join Phil and Will as they sit down as friends and look back at the chaos of that first John O’Groats to Land’s End run they filmed together — the unlikely journey that became the seed for everything William has achieved since.
That original film, An Act of Will, is now available on YouTube for the first time, here on PRESS RECORD.

In The Beginning there was Loss.
Before the records, before the extraordinary distances, before Will Goodge became one of the world’s most recognisable endurance runners, there was a young man trying to understand the death of his mother.
And he ran.
IN THE BEGINNING brings the original film into a new conversation, allowing Will today to encounter the younger man he once was — his words, his pain, his determination and the questions he was only beginning to ask.
Together we explore what happened next.
Why does someone continue to seek suffering when suffering is no longer necessary?
What happens when the thing that saved you becomes the thing that defines you?
Can loneliness become a source of strength?
And after unimaginable loss, is it possible that what remains is not pain at all — but love?
But this isn't really a film about endurance.
It's about a son and his mother.
It's about friendship, masculinity, loneliness, self-destruction, joy, purpose and the strange things human beings discover about themselves when they keep putting one foot in front of the other.
What makes this episode of PRESS RECORD different is that neither Will nor I is looking at his story from the outside.
We were there at the beginning.
The archive becomes a third voice in the conversation — sometimes contradicting memory, sometimes illuminating it, and sometimes allowing the man Will has become to look directly at the boy who began running all those years ago.

Unlearning doubt. In this deeply reflective episode of PRESS RECORD, Maverick Sabre sits down with Phil Griffin for a conversation about music, loneliness, purpose and the long journey back to trusting your own instinct. Maverick talks about the music that saved him growing up, describing it as something like a home-cooked meal — a form of sustenance that has been there for him in his loneliest moments. From his early love of Irish hip hop to the pressures of the music industry, he reflects on what it means to stay connected to the original reason you began creating in the first place. This is a conversation about what happens when doubt enters the room. About losing touch with your instinct. About becoming a commodity — even to yourself. And about finding your way back. Together, Phil and Maverick explore identity, the loneliness of the artist, the danger of selling pain, the strange relationship between ego and intuition, and why vulnerability can feel both like a gift and a threat. Maverick also speaks with rare honesty about masculinity, softness, anger, kindness and responsibility — asking what it really means to be strong without becoming hardened. This isn’t just a conversation about music. It’s a conversation about purpose. About learning to listen again. And about the courage it takes to unlearn doubt. Heartlines, not headlines.
When I said no, everyone else said yes.
In this deeply personal episode of PRESS RECORD, Dannii Minogue reflects on the decisions that shaped her life—not the ones that made headlines, but the quiet moments when trusting herself changed everything.
From navigating fame and public scrutiny to discovering that intuition is often louder than opinion, this conversation explores the courage to say no, the power of intention over ego, and why self-trust is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. Dannii shares how she learned that just because somebody says something about you doesn't make it true, why the "nos" can be more important than the "yeses," and how joy, kindness and purpose have become the compass for both her life and work. T
his isn't a conversation about celebrity. It's a conversation about becoming yourself.

Today I am blessed to share connection with Jp Cooper a singer songwriter who always gives us everything in his heart, but only on the understanding it may hurt...just a little.
We meet as Jp's Album "A few Folk" offers the audience the most truthful and heart felt collection of songs to date. Songs that get his dopamine firing on all emotional cylinders. The result is a gift to our ears.
In this episode I learn that JP, is the friend my soul never knew it needed and I am grateful to have met him. Without doubt, this is an artist for the ages, a unique human whose ability to understand the "beauty of tragedy" allows him to touch us with compassion from the moment his un-parralleled voice soars into our hearts.

Today we talk. What it takes to turn resilience and chaos into purpose and potential.
Today we are joined by music industry, Titan, darkest Beese, OBE, the man who brought us. Amy Winehouse, Jesse J Taio Cruz, Florence & the machine Mumfords and Sons, and so many more.
We explore a past where volatility was a state of being for Darcus where race wars, class wars, and culture wars shaped and tuned him into both an artist and businessman where failure was simply not an option.
From early struggles, finding his blackness to understanding his own mental landscape.
From the pressure cookers of West London to the skyscrapers of New York for Darcus, being ready to run, ready to move, ready for anything has not only been a passport to success, but also due to his un-diagnosed A-D-H-D - ticket to humility.
